The Snohomish Children's Choir was founded in 1999. The choir was established to supplement public, private, home, school, and church music programs by providing a challenging setting for outstanding young singers. Boys and girls from all over the Snohomish/Everett and surrounding areas come together with the express purpose of learning and performing a wide range of musical styles. The choir is divided into the Training Choir for pre-school through grade 4 and the Chamber Choir for Grades 5 - 12.

In the Spring of 2004 the choir traveled to Washington DC, Philadelphia and New York. They sang with other choirs from around the country at the Heritage Festival, and received some excellent instruction and critique from nationally known choir directors. In 2002, the choir traveled to San Francisco, where they earned top awards in a national choir competition. During the 2004-2005 season, the choir produced its first CD. In the 2005-2006 season, both choirs were featured guests and helped the Everett Chorale celebrate their 40th Anniversary in a combined Holiday Concert at the Everett Performing Arts Center. In the Spring of 2006, the Chamber Choir traveled to San Diego where they performed and earned two Gold Medals at the Heritage Festival. In 2007, the Chamber Choir earned two more Gold Medals for their performances at the Chicago Heritage Festival.

The Snohomish Children's Choir is proud to be affiliated with the following organizations:

- Music Educators National Conference

- Washington Music Educators Association

- American Choral Directors Association
